Royal Albert Moss Rose – Elegant 7-Piece Vintage Serving Collection – England – c. 1950s
A beautiful 7-piece Royal Albert “Moss Rose” serving collection, made in England and decorated with one of Royal Albert’s most romantic and recognisable floral designs.
The collection features delicate pink roses, small blue flowers and green foliage, beautifully arranged against fine white bone china. Elegant scalloped edges and graceful gold detailing complete the classic English appearance.
The Moss Rose pattern was introduced in the 1950s, and one of the pieces in this collection carries a 1956 backstamp/date, with the remaining pieces appearing consistent with the same vintage collection and period.
The 7-piece collection includes:
* 1 large round handled serving plate – approximately 30.5 cm diameter × 3 cm high
* 1 gravy/sauce boat – approximately 20 cm long × 8.5 cm high
* 1 matching underplate for the gravy boat
* 1 salt shaker
* 1 pepper shaker
* 1 rectangular serving platter
* 1 oval serving platter
Material
Fine bone china with floral decoration and gold detailing
Condition
The collection presents beautifully and is in good vintage condition overall, with signs of age and previous use consistent with pieces dating from the 1950s. Minor age-related wear to the decoration or gilding may be present.
The elegant rose decoration remains wonderfully vibrant and gives the collection an exceptionally attractive display appearance.
A delightful example of mid-century Royal Albert English bone china, perfect for a collector of Moss Rose, for an elegant traditional table setting, or simply as a decorative vintage serving collection.
Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description and provide the best representation of the condition and decoration of the individual pieces.
