Description:
An outstanding vintage 35mm Single Lens Reflex (SLR) outfit from the iconic Ihagee Dresden factory. This is the sought-after early production Exa II featuring original green engraved lettering on both the front plate ("Exa II") and the prism housing ("Jhagee DRESDEN").
The camera comes paired with a high-quality, made-in-Japan Astronar 35mm f/2.8 Wide Angle prime lens in native Exakta bayonet mount.
Condition & Technical Details:
Camera Body (Serial No. 284743): Cosmetically in near-mint condition. Bright chrome finish, crisp vulcanite leatherette with zero peeling, and clean mirror chamber.
Shutter & Mechanics: The vertical focal-plane shutter is fully operational and fires smoothly at all speeds. The advance lever and frame counter operate cleanly. Film chamber and curtains are in superb shape.
Viewfinder: Fixed eye-level pentaprism is clear and bright.
Optics (Lens No. 294349E): Astronar 1:2.8 / 35mm Wide Angle. Glass is clean, clear, free of scratches, haze, and fungus. Focusing and aperture rings turn smoothly.
Accessories: Comes with the front lens cap.
