The composition reflects Hoflehner's transition from his iconic, monolithic iron sculptures to more fluid, organic, and biomorphic representations. The bold use of contrasting flat colors, along with overlapping concentric lines and globular forms, evokes the dynamism of an abstract body in constant twisting or growth.

We find the artist's graphic work from the 60s and 70s extraordinary.
