Up for auction is a rare and highly sought-after bottle of Jameson Gold Reserve Irish Whiskey. For years, this premium expression was one of the absolute flagships of the core range from the Midleton Distillery, but it has since been completely discontinued. Since production ceased around 2017, this bottle has turned into a genuine collector's item.
What makes the Gold Reserve so unique and beloved among whiskey enthusiasts is its unique and complex aging process. The Master Blender utilized a careful marriage of three differently matured pot still and grain whiskeys:
