Limited-edition giclée print by Belgian-Greek contemporary artist Dimitri Likissas (b. 1969), created in December 2019 for a gallery presentation in London.

Printed on museum-quality archival Hahnemühle paper, 200 gsm, this work belongs to Likissas’s distinctive dot-based visual practice, in which recognizable images are constructed entirely through repeated circular forms and carefully controlled colour relationships.

From close range, the composition breaks apart into an abstract field of individual dots. Step back, and the portrait of Mick Jagger becomes immediately clear. This transformation between abstraction and recognition is central to Dimitri Likissas’s visual language: from close, only dots; from afar, the image.

The work combines Pop imagery, portraiture, optical perception and digital raster aesthetics while remaining unmistakably part of Likissas’s established artistic practice.

This edition was created in 2019 for a gallery exhibition in London and was produced in a strictly limited edition of only 25 examples.
