Canada – Official Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games set – 14 coins

Original official collection issued by the Royal Canadian Mint for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

The collection contains 14 original commemorative coins:

• 12 commemorative 25-cent coins dedicated to different Olympic and Paralympic winter sports, including ice hockey, curling, alpine skiing, snowboarding, figure skating, speed skating, biathlon, bobsleigh and Paralympic disciplines.

• 2 commemorative Canadian one-dollar coins, commonly known as Loonies, including an issue featuring the official Vancouver 2010 emblem and an Olympic edition with the characteristic Canadian loon.

The coins are housed in their original Vancouver 2010 presentation folder, decorated with the Inukshuk image and the official Olympic and Paralympic logos. The reverses of the coins and the portraits of Queen Elizabeth II can be viewed from the back.

This is an original and authentic Royal Canadian Mint product, preserved in its official presentation folder and transparent protective cover. The folder may show minor signs of storage consistent with its age.

NUMISMATIC AND PHILATELIC ITEMS

Malawi – Numismatic cover, 1997

Thematic numismatic cover containing an original Malawi 10 Tambala coin dated 1997, presented together with its related philatelic material.

Uruguay – General José Gervasio Artigas numismatic and philatelic cover

Interesting thematic ensemble dedicated to General José Gervasio Artigas, national hero and one of the principal figures in the independence of Uruguay.

The numismatic cover contains:

• Original Uruguay 1 Peso coin dated 1960, featuring the portrait of José Gervasio Artigas.

• Original 100 Nuevos Pesos banknote issued by the Banco Central del Uruguay, Series G, featuring Artigas and the national coat of arms.

• Block of four Uruguayan 3-centésimos stamps dedicated to Artigas, with commemorative cancellation.

• Illustrated presentation sheet featuring a portrait of the general and a monumental view of Montevideo.

All components are integrated into a thematic presentation and protected by a transparent cover. The coin shows normal signs of circulation and age.

Germany – “Klassisches Theater” philatelic block – Wilhelm Tell and Faust II – Deutsche Post certificate, 2004

German philatelic edition dedicated to two major works of classical theatre: “Wilhelm Tell” by Friedrich Schiller and “Faust II” by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.

The special “Klassisches Theater” block contains two stamps:

• 45 cents – Wilhelm Tell, issued for the bicentenary of its first performance in 1804.
• 100 cents – Faust II, commemorating the 150th anniversary of its first complete performance in 1854.

The design was created by graphic artist Barbara Dimanski, and the official date of issue was 11 March 2004.

The block is accompanied by its Deutsche Post certificate, containing historical information about both theatrical works, their first performances and the artistic creation of the stamps. The certificate bears the printed signature of the Chairman of the Management Board of Deutsche Post AG.

Presented inside a protective cover and potentially showing minor signs of storage.

Historic registered share certificate from the prestigious German automobile manufacturer Daimler-Benz Aktiengesellschaft, issued in Stuttgart in May 1939 with a nominal value of 1,000 Reichsmark.

Proof and commemorative pieces should also be assessed individually.

The display trays, album pages and presentation cases visible in the photographs are not included in the sale. Only original folders, packaging or protective covers specifically described as belonging to a particular set or numismatic item are included.
