This is the Super-Multi-Coated TAKUMAR 35mm F2, a legendary lens from Asahi Pentax.
This M42-mount 35mm F2 model was produced around 1971–1975 and serves as the successor to the Super-Takumar 35mm F2. It features a compact design with a 7-element, 8-group optical system, a 6-blade aperture, and a 49mm filter diameter, weighing approximately 240g.
Combining the versatile 35mm wide-angle focal length with an f/2 maximum aperture, it is suitable for a wide range of applications, including street photography, snapshots, landscapes, travel, and everyday shooting. The high contrast and backlight resistance provided by the Super-Multi-Coating are also key attractions of this lens.
The interior of the lens was cleaned in September 2026. A lens hood is also included.
