Descrição da obra

Ciclos, realizada em 1998, é uma obra abstrata original da artista portuguesa Ana Carina Costa das Neves, pintora desde 1990 e licenciada em História da Arte.

Executada em óleo sobre tela, a obra apresenta uma composição de forte intensidade cromática, construída através de formas orgânicas, linhas curvas e diferentes densidades de matéria pictórica.

Azuis profundos, verdes, amarelos, ocres, vermelhos, laranjas e tons bordô desenvolvem-se pela superfície da tela, criando contrastes marcantes entre áreas luminosas e zonas de maior profundidade.

Artwork Description

Cycles, created in 1998, is an original abstract painting by Portuguese artist Ana Carina Costa das Neves, who has been active as a painter since 1990 and holds a degree in Art History.

Executed in oil on canvas, the work features a composition of strong chromatic intensity, developed through organic forms, curved lines and varying densities of paint.

Deep blues, greens, yellows, ochres, reds, oranges and burgundy tones move across the surface, creating striking contrasts between luminous areas and darker, more intense sections.

The composition is dominated by fluid, interconnected forms that appear to emerge, transform and return into one another. This sense of continuous movement inspired the title “Cycles”, suggesting transformation, continuity, renewal and the passage of time.
