Vida Đuran was born on October 23, 1963, in Zagreb. With her parents, Marčelo Brajnović and Zvjezdana Hegedušić Brajnović, she moved to Italy in 1970, and from 1975 to 1977 she lived in France. There she attended elementary school and learned Italian and French. The family returned to Rovinjsko Selo and Zagreb in 1977. Choosing her further education was not difficult, so she enrolled in the School of Applied Arts and Design in Zagreb, Textile Department, where she graduated in 1982. In 1988, she became a member of ULUPUH, in the Textile and Leather section. Soon after, she began exhibiting in numerous solo and group exhibitions. She is primarily interested in batik on paper and silk, while also exploring collage and various other applications and techniques. In 1989, she moved with her family to Pula, where she became active in the art scene of Pula and Istria. She became a member of HDLU Istria in 1997 and a member of the Rovinj Art Colony. During that period, she presented herself to the Istrian public mostly through abstract paintings on paper and canvas, featuring various interventions in color and texture of a lyrical character inspired by the Istrian landscape.
In recent years, through social media, she has presented herself to the public through various visual leaps, striving toward concept and idea, while not abandoning her aspiration for beautiful, visually pleasing painting.
