________
About the Painting
This painting is created through a multi-layered, experimental process. Specially developed texture pastes are applied by hand, one layer at a time, with each layer carefully left to dry before the next is added.
This meticulous process creates a distinctive surface with a captivating tactile quality. Delicate yet expressive abstract forms and subtle textural variations give the artwork depth, vitality, and a fascinating interplay of light and shadow.
Your artwork arrives fully stretched on sturdy, deep-profile stretcher bars, ready to display. You receive a finished canvas rather than a rolled painting, saving you the additional cost of professional stretching.
The artwork is sold unframed, without an additional outer frame. It can be hung as it is or placed in a frame of your choice to complement your interior.
About the Artist
Olga Cova was born in a small town in Russia, where she initially received a classical art education at an art school. After moving to Germany around ten years ago, she gradually shifted her focus towards developing her own artistic language.
Over the following years, she explored a wide range of techniques and approaches to abstract painting, deepening her knowledge through courses with various artists. Eventually, she chose to pursue her artistic path independently, developing a distinctive visual language through intuitive exploration and experimentation.
Since 2022, she has been working in her own studio within a shared artist studio space in Berlin.
Her paintings are characterised by colour, movement, and the dynamic interplay between spontaneous gestures and deliberate composition. At the heart of her artistic practice lies an ongoing process of experimentation — a continuous exploration of new relationships between colour, form, texture, and material. Her abstract compositions emerge from the dialogue between intuition and intention, creating works with a distinctive sense of depth, movement, and materiality.
Her work has been exhibited at Open Studios organised by Raum für Kunst e. V. in Berlin, as well as in a group exhibition presented by White Square Gallery.
