• Vintage Space Age "Petticoat" Glass Pendant Lamp by Peill & Putzler – Germany, 1970s

Description

A stunning piece of 1970s Space Age design.
This authentic vintage "Petticoat" (or Fazzoletto) pendant lamp was designed and manufactured by the prestigious German glassmaker Peill & Putzler during the 1970s.
Famous for their high-quality art glass, this model is a masterclass in mid-century lighting aesthetics.

Key Features & Design

• The Glass: The lamp features a beautiful, hand-blown cased glass shade with a dramatic ruffled, handkerchief-style rim.
• The Glow: It uses a sophisticated two-tone glass technique. The exterior is a rich, warm honey-amber/brown gradient, while the white inner layer beautifully diffuses the light to eliminate glare and cast a cozy, ambient glow.
• The Finish: It is crowned with its characteristic, high-quality polished brass fixture at the neck.
