Enigma - Two Selves, One Glass

Two Selves, One Glass

I stand outside myself and watch - the figure before me drapes in cascading teal and ghostly white, her form half-dissolved, brushstrokes fracturing her edges as though she is already becoming something else. Behind a transparent wall, I appear again, smaller, stilled, dressed in deep black against a burning red that throbs like a wound. Between us, crumpled pale forms litter the floor - discarded skins, unread letters, forgotten selves. The paint is thick where she unravels, luminous where I remain.

About the Artist
Enigma is an Italian surrealist working across dream, disruption, and wit - never settling into one mood or one way of seeing. Some paintings are quiet and symbolic, others catch a moment coming apart mid-motion, others turn a playful, knowing eye on art history itself. What unites the work isn't a single style but a single instinct: reality treated as something soft enough to bend, fracture, or reimagine - rendered always in smooth, luminous brushwork and bold, contrasting color. Every canvas is one of a kind, never repeated.
