Descrição fornecida pelo vendedor

Expressive Original Lithography by the renowned German contemporary artist Jonathan Meese. The work is entitled “Der Ordensgott” and was created in 2003 as an exclusive edition for the Griffelkunst-Vereinigung Hamburg e.V. (Voter turnout 312, Q4 2003). The print was produced on heavy, high-quality BFK Rives handmade paper and is personally signed and dated by the artist in graphite in the lower middle (“JMeese 2003”). The sheet is in a very good, collectible condition without creases, tears, or stains. The colors are vibrant and have always been stored in a light-protected environment. The sheet measures approximately 66 x 50 cm, with a display size of about 47.5 x 36.5 cm. Shipping is performed absolutely securely and knick-free.

Jonathan Meese (born 1970 in Tokyo, living and working in Berlin and Hamburg) is among the world’s best-known and most polarizing figures in German contemporary art. His multifaceted oeuvre includes painting, sculpture, graphics, installations, performances, as well as acclaimed stage designs for opera. Meese traverses the entire spectrum of art history and mythology, radically questioning traditional value systems. His unmistakable aesthetic combines expressive visual power, humorous provocation, and humorous slogans such as his proclaimed “Dictatorship of Art.” His works have been shown at major international institutions and museums, including Deichtorhallen Hamburg, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles.

The Griffelkunst-Vereinigung Hamburg e.V. traces a long tradition since its founding in 1925 and is today considered one of the world’s oldest and most renowned institutions for promoting contemporary printmaking. Its unique concept combines an exclusive circle of members with outstanding international artists of modern and contemporary art. Griffelkunst editions are characterized by the highest craft and artistic quality, as they are pulled directly from the original plates, stones, or silkscreens in close collaboration with the artists. Since the graphics are produced exclusively for members and are never regularly available on the open art market, Griffelkunst editions enjoy an excellent reputation among collectors.
