You are bidding on a very fine and rare 4/4 violin, labeled Vittorio Bellarosa Napoli Anno 1968 via Michele Cammarano N. 10. The instrument remains in good condition with no cracks.
The violin has an excellent straight medium grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of softly flamed maple with matched sides. The purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. The whole length of the violin is 590 mm and the back 359 mm. Width of the upper bout: 165 mm; middle: 114 mm; lower: 207 mm. The sound of this instrument is of a charming character, rich, warm, beautiful colors, depth and great carrying power.
