A beautiful bronze alloy buckle, inlaid with glass. With an articulating ring prong, and a panel with a separate backing for the terminal tip of the belt strap to attach to via riveting holes pierced through the panels. A raised bezel is welded to the frontside. The circular piece has a bronze cross-shaped square at the with concentric circles on the center and with four cabochons of inlaid glass in white and blue hues. The craftsmanship is exquisite, and well preserved. The piece is catalogued as Merovingian ( Migration Period ) but due its typology it can also be Visigothic. Dimensions: 7,20 x 3,30 cm. Condition: Some surface wear. Good overall condition. Provenance: Collection Paul Bressand (1898-1995) between 1930 and 1960. Important: Due to Summer holidays, Items sold at the end of July or August will be sent in September. Notes: - The piece includes authenticity certificate. The piece will include spanish export license ( Passport for European Union). - If the piece goes outside the European Union a new export license will be requested by us, This process can take beteen 1 and 2 months. According to Spanish legislation, items sent outside the European Union are subject to export taxes and will be added to the invoice, at the buyer's expense. These export fees are fixed on the final auction price and the tax rate is not applied directly on the total value of the item to be exported, but rather the different percentages by sections are applied to it: - Up to 6,000 euros: 5%./ From 6.001 to 60.000 euros: 10%. - Shipped with Insurance.
