The Ko-Omote mask is renowned for its subtle expression, which can appear joyful or sorrowful depending on the angle and movement of the performer, lending great emotional nuance to roles of youthful femininity. The reverse is signed 'Seifu 1979 December'. Signs of use and age include minor wear, areas of grime, minor paint chips, minor paint cracks, and blemishes.
