Wirkkala's production includes classic art glass objects, Alko liquor bottles and labels, plywood, silver, bronze and many other materials. Wirkkala graduated from the Central School of Arts, Crafts and Design in 1936 and later married the renowned ceramic artist Rut Bryk.
