Alessi - Giulio Iacchetti - Chávena de café - ''Mazagran'' - Vidro de borossilicato e resina termoplástica, marrom. Filtro em aço inoxidável 18/10.

This "Mazagran" cold brew coffee carafe, designed by Giulio Iacchetti in 2022, is the result of extensive research into traditional coffee preparation methods. Iacchetti's design provides a refined implement for cold brew coffee, a method with ancient origins that remains relatively unknown today. The carafe's name, "Mazagran," is inspired by the Algerian village where this unique cold brewing process is believed to have originated. This method, which eschews hot water, prevents oxidation of the coffee, resulting in a drink with an intense and full-bodied flavor. Mazagran is tailored for coffee aficionados and those who appreciate invigorating beverages. It offers the flexibility to enjoy cold brew coffee in its pure form or as part of more creative concoctions. The carafe boasts an attractive transparency and a minimalist design, making it a functional and elegant addition to any setting, whether at home or in the office, perfect for a refreshing coffee break. Giulio Iacchetti’s design marries functionality with sophistication, providing an understated yet stylish solution for enjoying cold brew coffee, enhancing the experience for both the dedicated coffee lover and the adventurous drink enthusiast. How it works: Insert the filter complete with ring, washer and support into the jug. Add the coffee to the filter and slowly pour in the water at room temperature or cold, leaving the mixture the time to steep. The amount of coffee can be varied depending on the intensity of flavour desired (about 1 tablespoon per cup of coffee). Use preferably a medium ground blend (coffee especially for cold brew is also available on the market). Insert the inner cap simply by rotating, then close the jug with the outer one and leave the brew to rest for at least 8 hours in the fridge. At the end of the infusion, remove the outer and the inner caps, then lift up the filter allowing it to drip into the jug for a few seconds before moving it. Specifications: - 1.05 liter (6 cups) jug made from borosilicate glass. - Silicone rubber lid - Stainless steel filter - Sealing ring - Washer in silicone - Filter support - Internal cap with a bayonet connection in thermoplastic resin. - There are some measure marks on the jug: the first corresponds to 300g of coffee (about two cups), the subsequent ones each measure out 100 ml of the drink until the last one which indicates 900 ml. - The lid, the cap and the filter support can be washed in a dishwasher. Please read the user manual closely before using the items to get optimal performances and coffee experience. This Mazagran cold brew coffee carafe is in new condition and has never been used before. Delivered with original packaging and documentation. About Giulio Iacchetti: Giulio Iacchetti, industrial designer since 1992, designs for many brands including Alessi. The distinctive characteristics of his work is the research of new object typologies, like the Moscardino, the biodegradable spoon/fork designed with Matteo Ragni and for which, in 2001, he has been awarded with Compasso d’Oro. In 2009 he was awarded the prize for innovation – Premio dei Premi – by the President of the Italian Republic for the Coop Eureka project. In May 2009 the Triennale di Milano held a solo exhibition entitled Giulio Iacchetti. Disobedient objects. In 2014, he won his second Compasso d’Oro for the design of the manhole covers Sfera, designed with Matteo Ragni for Montini.
