Bronze - Shishi Tama-nori auspicioso representando prosperidade e boa sorte - Período Meiji (1868 - 1912)

This is a bronze tama-nori shishi (lion standing on a ball) made around the Meiji period. Its facial expression is quite different from modern versions of tama-nori shishi, giving it a unique and captivating presence. The lion’s expression is extremely powerful and full of energy, making this piece very impressive. Since ancient times, lions have been cherished as symbols of authority and warding off evil, while the peony, known as the "king of flowers," represents wealth and prosperity. This is an auspicious piece. It features a stately bronze and intricate carving, showcasing Shoun's outstanding metal casting techniques. It is perfect for entryways, alcoves, Japanese-style room interiors, store displays, and more. It is 50-100 years old, antique feel to it. There are some scratches and scuffs on the whole, but I think it is in relatively good condition. Height 19.5 cm Width 31.5 cm Depth 16.0 cm Weight 2730 g Condition: Overall condition is good. However, there may be slight scratches, dirt, peeling, rubbing, etc. This is an item kept at home. I have included many photos, so please take a look. Atention: The items listed for sale are all used collectibles. Please consider them to have signs of aging, such as stains, scratches, scuffs, tears, discoloration, fading, fraying, and changes in thread color. We will post as many photos as possible to make it easy to understand. As these are old items, we appreciate your understanding before making a purchase. Shipping: The lot will be carefully packaged and shipped from Japan. We will use either DHL or FedEx for a safe and secure transportation. It usually takes about 2-3 weeks for delivery, and the package will be shipped with a tracking number.
