An enthusiast of history as well as the arts, it was during this time that he had the opportunity to travel the country and delve into Japan's intricate and rich history. Particularly fascinated by the influence of Japan's aesthetics on Western art, he began collecting ukiyoe woodblock prints and eventually accrued a large collection that was displayed in numerous private exhibitions in Japan as well as abroad. The highlights include fine prints, paintings and ceramics dating from the 18th to the 20th century. These auctions are a great opportunity for enthusiasts and serious collectors of Japanese art.
