25th Anniversary Collection (Booster Box)
This is the classic expansion box (set code s8a) released on October 22, 2021. Unlike the Western sets (such as Celebrations), the Japanese version has a very unique structure:
• Contents: Each box contains 16 booster packs.
• Packs: Each pack contains only 5 cards, and all of them are strictly Holofoil.
• The Base Set: It consists of only 28 cards (plus Secret Rares like Mew Gold). It features Legendary and Mythical Pokémon that have defined the brand's history.
• The Added Value (Promo Packs): In Japan, the "Classic" cards (such as the Base Set Charizard, Umbreon Gold Star, or Rayquaza ex) were not included in the booster box itself. Instead, they were found in individual promotional packs distributed by retailers for every 4 booster packs purchased.
