Title: Debris (2026) – Original Mixed Media Texture Artwork (Wabi-Sabi & Komorebi Study)
"Weathered things don’t lose their value; they find their soul."
'Debris' is a profound visual exploration of collapse, peeling layers, and dilapidation. Grounded in the heart of Wabi-Sabi, it honors the beauty of things that have been worn down by time and circumstance.
Beyond the structural architecture of decay, this canvas is deeply rooted in Komorebi—the Japanese phenomenon of sunlight filtering through shifting leaves.
Because of how the gold leaf accents are meticulously buried within the heavy, cracked textures and raw canvas grids, the painting completely changes its expression depending on the hour of the day.
As natural light shifts across the room, it leaks into the craters of the debris, creating a living play of light and shadow. It is a reminder that no matter how broken a season feels, the light will always find a way to dance through the cracks.
Technical Specifications:
Year: 2026
