Inspired by quilts and landscapes, this work evokes blooming and movement in nature, emerging, dissolving, reforming, echoing my ongoing interest in botany, biology and the emotional architecture of nature. I am drawn to the cycles of life that unfold across bodies and landscapes in their growth, transformation, erosion and resilience, renewal. Thus, the painting moves between the representational and the abstract, where flowers are not symbolic ornaments but living entities formed by gestures of memory, desire and time. They carry the imprint of the seasons, the sediment of decay, the possibility of regeneration. I think of them as traces of an internal landscape, where emotional and environmental climates intersect. This piece is part of a broader exploration of nature as something in perpetual motion, very much fluid, porous, intuitive. It inhabits that space between becoming and unbecoming, where movement is constant, and destruction is inseparable from creation.
