Sarah Moon - Vrais Semblants - 1991

Vrais Semblants (With OBI), o colecție de opere ale lui Sarah Moon, una dintre cele mai cunoscute fotografițe franceze. Aceasta este ediția japoneză a unei cărți de fotografii publicate de Delpire în Franța (o editură condusă de Robert Delpire, soțul lui Sarah Moon). Este alcătuită din 81 de imagini atent selectate, care variază de la fotografii de modă prezentate în publicații precum *Yohji Yamamoto* și *Vogue* până la instantanee, peisaje și naturi statice. Următorul este un fragment din prefața artistei: “I photograph privilege, illusions, transience, difference, or beauty. And I search for emotion there—emotions I have no clue how to find. I envy photographers who know how to capture reality. I avoid reality. I start from scratch. My photographs are not testimonies. I construct stories I have never even told myself. I imagine situations that are not real. I erase space to create new space there, and I attempt to manipulate light. I wait for the unexpected to appear. I recall what I had forgotten.
