Henry Cholmondeley-Pennell (1837–1915) was a writer of humorous verse, a journalist, and later a well-known author on fishing and natural history.
In this book, “Puck” functions as a mischievous commentator who travels through contemporary life on the winged horse of poetry, or “Pegasus.”
Original plum cloth, with gilt titles and design. Darkening to the spine. There is some splitting to the top and bottom edges of the spine. Brown end paper with owner's name to the end paper. A little foxing to the pages and plates, but otherwise in good condition.
