PAINTING ON PLYWOOD
This painting belongs to my collection 'Landscapes of emerging universes', a series of large-format canvases and paper works from 2025. They are abstract landscapes that explore the vastness of inner universes, in resonance with outer galaxies.
My references are abstract painters such as Pollock, Kandinski or Miró, as well as the photographs of outer space published by NASA.
My training is more literary than artistic, and there is a stylistic device that has always fascinated me: synecdoche. It is the extended or restricted use of words, taking the whole for the part or the part for the whole. I apply this device to my pictorial creation, thinking that human beings, in their smallness, contain an infinitesimal part of the infinite expansion of galaxies.
The landscapes are accompanied by words taken from songs and poems. In this case, the title is taken from a song by Einstürzende Neubauten.
Unique and original painting.
Signed and dated by the artist.
It is sent without a frame or border.
The gallery photos are mock-ups to give an idea of how the framed painting might look hanging in different environments.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jaume Muñoz (Barcelona, 1977) is a poet, painter and photographer.
In his work, he explores the expressive possibilities of abstract painting, placing himself at the crossroads of chaos and order. His painting process is based on free abstract improvisation.
He began painting while living in Egypt, in the open painting workshops at the Townhouse Gallery, Cairo. He held his first exhibitions there in 2007.
For years, he attended the summer art residency and auction sale at the Association Saint Henri, Castelnaudary (France).
He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Cairo, Berlin, Revel, Milano and Barcelona.

Numele meu este Jaume Muñoz și m-am născut în Barcelona în 1977. Sunt poet și pictor.
În munca mea, explorez posibilitățile expresive ale picturii abstracte, plasându-mă în intersecția haosului și ordinii. Procesul meu de pictură se bazează pe improvizație abstractă liberă.
Am studiat lingvistica și literatura. Am început să pictez în timp ce locuiam în Egipt, la atelierele de pictură deschise în Townhouse Gallery, Cairo. Acolo mi-am expus pentru prima dată lucrările în 2007.
Timp de ani de zile, am participat la rezidența de artă de vară și la licitațiile de vânzare la Association Saint Henri, Castelnaudary (Franța).
Am participat la multe expoziții individuale și colective în Berlin, Revel, Milano și Barcelona.
