This piece of Mid-Century Modern audio furniture features a sleek rectangular wooden body suspended on a distinctive 4-toe metal star-base pedestal foot.
This system represents a beautiful global hybrid of the cutting-edge European design, robust British mechanics, and warm, organic Japanese solid-state electronics.
Key Features:
The Electronics: The integrated amplifier section is equipped with vintage Sanyo Germanium power transistors, delivering a tube-like sound signature.
The Turntable: A robust BSR (Made in England) 4-speed automatic autochanger (16/33/45/78 RPM). The complex automatic mechanism has been cleaned and lubricated. It comes with a high-output Philips ceramic cartridge.
The Loudspeakers: Included is a matching pair of separate Teleton SA-1003W / W422 Japan bookshelf speakers (8W / 8 Ohms). They house high-efficiency 4-inch full-range Japanese drivers, famous for their natural midrange, making them the perfect match for the Germanium amplifier.
Condition Report:
Aesthetics: The old, worn-out white look has been revitalized. Both the main wooden console and the Teleton speaker cabinets have been artisanally hand-painted in a clean retro white finish. The old dust cover has been replaced with a well-fitting vintage replacement (National).
