Johannes Wessmark - Quiet Surrender

Quiet Surrender — Johannes Wessmark

Original painting on Fabriano fine art paper, 87 × 60 cm (painted area)

With her eyes closed and her face gently lifted, a woman rests in dark water. Droplets catch the light on her skin, while soft reflections dissolve around her. “Quiet Surrender” captures a moment of stillness and the simple pleasure of being immersed in water.

Painted in my freer, more spontaneous style, this monochrome work combines delicate details with loose, expressive passages.
