Galeria Istorică de la Versailles este o lucrare monumentală care adună mai mult de 1750 de planșe. Întreaga serie Galeries historiques de Versailles a fost publicată prin subscripție în 460 de livrări (462 conform Vicaire), a căror prima a fost anunțată la 1 mai 1837. Trei ediții erau disponibile pe atunci: o ediție de lux, format mare in-folio cu gravuri pe China, cu text împodobit cu vigneturi, culs-de-lampe și ornamente gravate în lemn; o ediție format mic in-folio, cu aceleași gravuri și texte, dar fără ornamentele; o ediție format in-4 conținând un selected de gravuri din celelalte ediții.

The Historical Galleries of Versailles is a monumental work gathering more than 1750 plates. The whole of the Galeries historiques de Versailles was published by subscription in 460 deliveries (462 according to Vicaire), the first of which was announced on 1 May 1837. Three editions were then available: a luxury edition, large folio format with engravings on China, with text adorned with vignettes, side lamps, and wood-engraved ornaments; a small folio format edition, with the same engravings and texts, but without the ornaments; an in-4 format edition containing a selection of engravings among the other editions.
