A striking fusion of neo-expressionism and street-art iconography, this dynamic composition brings together vibrant playfulness and dark, raw energy.

Dominating the canvas are two central figures juxtaposed in mood and color: a glowing, sun-yellow horse adorned on the left, paired against a soft, ghostly white hare entity with peaceful, closed eyes on the right.

A rich tapestry of textures unfolds across the surface, combining bold spray paint graffito, dripping acrylics, and expressive grease pencil scribbles.
Floating throughout the dark, atmospheric background are vibrant red roses with thorny green stems.
Dripping black paint, and open white book pages add layers of narrative intrigue, inviting viewers to interpret themes of mystery and dualities.

Executed with spontaneous brushwork and raw immediacy, this artwork serves as a compelling centerpiece for contemporary art collectors seeking a bold statement piece rooted in modern urban culture.

All images showing the artwork framed are mock ups and are for illustration purposes only, the painting is sold unframed.

Based in Alicante, Jonathan Wain is an internationally collected neo-expressionist painter whose background in sculpture, holding a BA (Hons) from Manchester Metropolitan University, infuses his work with a powerful tactile presence and visual weight. Working primarily in acrylic and spray paint, Wain creates urgent, layered compositions that balance raw street-art energy with deliberate fine-art craftsmanship. His practice explores themes of the supernatural, myth, and internal conflict by translating dreams and psychological tension into a bold visual language. Canvases populated by charged motifs wolves, ghosts, flames, and serpents evoke primal narratives of survival and transformation, making his statement pieces highly sought after by collectors seeking evocative, contemporary art.
