The classic morning coat or business suit imperatively demanded a flatter, more elegant shoe with closed lacing. To cater to precisely this cosmopolitan and discerning Viennese clientele, whose sartorial orientation was towards London, the house of Reiter developed the "Engländer". This last adopts the flowing, elongated shape of British bespoke shoes and unites it with traditional Viennese craftsmanship.
Crafted from exquisite Shell Cordovan, this shoe reveals a fascinating depth through its exceptional patina in the shade Dark Antique Whiskey. The masterfully antiqued finish of the noble horse leather lends the model an urban nobility with an inherent, quiet melancholy – as if the silent constancy of long bygone days were reflected in its warm amber shimmer, seamlessly merging with the clear lines of the last.
