Descriere de la vânzător
Elegant pair of French candlesticks from the 19th century, made of gilded bronze, inspired by the refined models of the Louis XVI style. Its design is characterized by a sober and balanced composition, where purity of lines and harmony of proportions evoke the neoclassical taste that defined French decoration at the end of the 18th century and which experienced an important revitalization during the 19th century.
Each candlestick rises on a quadrilobed base with cut profiles, resting on a truncated-conical body with a soft transition that leads to a slender, turned shaft. The stem features a sequence of annular moldings and delicate narrowing that provide visual rhythm to the ensemble, culminating in a flat-profile catch-basin plate and a cylindrical, very simply formed candlestick holder. The absence of exuberant ornamentation enhances the quality of the casting and the architectural elegance of its volumes, a characteristic feature of the Louis XVI decorative language.
The warm patina acquired by the bronze over time gives depth and authenticity to the piece, highlighting the light signs of use typical of its age. Thanks to its refined and timeless design, this pair of candlesticks is especially suitable for integration into both classical interiors and contemporary eclectic decors, adding a touch of distinction and historical refinement. It is a decor set of great aesthetic balance, representative of the persistence of French neoclassical taste in the decorative arts of the 19th century.
Certificate of delivery and good packaging.
