Midleton Very Rare 2022 Vintage Release
Midleton Very Rare 2022 is the 39th edition of this iconic and eagerly awaited Irish whiskey, and the second created by Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman. Each year, the master distiller selects only the best and rarest distillates from the Midleton distillery's warehouses to create a unique composition.
This edition is a masterful blend of single pot still and single grain whiskeys, aged for 12 to 33 years in lightly charred American oak bourbon casks. The result is a spirit of extraordinary complexity and depth.
	• Aroma: Opens with a bouquet of fruit, dominated by notes of mandarin and candied apple. After a while, the characteristic spicy aroma of pot still whiskey appears, complemented by accents of vanilla, grains and charred oak.
	• Taste: Smooth and sweet on the palate, with distinct notes of caramelised apple, orange peel and a hint of spicy chilli oil. The flavour evolves to reveal notes of vanilla and toasted oak.
	• Finish: Long and satisfying, with lingering flavours of fruit and spices that slowly fade away.
The whiskey is presented in an elegant wooden box, making it the perfect gift for a connoisseur and a valuable addition to any collection.
Midleton Very Rare 2023 Vintage Release
Midleton Very Rare 2023 is the 40th anniversary edition of the legendary series, crowning four decades of excellence. Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman has once again carefully selected the best single pot still and single grain distillates to create a composition worthy of this special anniversary.
This edition is distinguished by its rich, fruity profile and perfectly balanced structure. The whiskey was matured in American oak bourbon casks, which gave it exceptional smoothness and sweetness.
	•    Aroma: Surprising with its richness of tropical fruits, including nectarine and mango, intertwined with aromas of ginger, pepper and sweet vanilla. Notes of hazelnuts and chocolate can be detected in the background.
	• Taste: Full and rich in the mouth. Dominated by notes of juicy orchard fruits combined with spicy spices such as cinnamon and cloves. Oak tannins perfectly balance the sweetness.
	• Finish: Extremely long and elegant. Leaves lasting notes of fruit and spices on the palate.
With its 40th edition, Midleton Very Rare introduces new, eco-friendly packaging, replacing the wooden box with a stylish, fully recyclable cardboard box. This is a step towards sustainability that goes hand in hand with the unchanging, highest quality of the bottle's contents.
