Region: Rhone Valley, France, in the prestigious denomination Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Grape: Mainly Grenache (about 90%) with Syrah (about 10%). Tasting Notes: The wine has an intense garnet red color. On the nose and palate, it is characterized by strong spicy aromas, notes of red fruits, licorice and sometimes hints of tobacco or coffee. It is a powerful and rich wine, with elegant but present tannins. Pairings: Ideal with French and Provencal dishes, such as stews, stuffed meats, roasts and game.
