The crystal is côte plate cut, giving the piece a refined geometric appearance typical of the Art Deco period. The silver rim is marked 925 Sterling and was produced by Bauer Hermann, a well-known German silver manufacturer active in Schwäbisch Gmünd. The combination of clear crystal and sleek silver lines reflects the modernist design language of the late 1920s and early 1930s.
