Aged for 21 years and bottled at natural cask strength (56.9% ABV), this expression showcases Mortlach’s iconic robust and meaty character, enhanced by long maturation.
Matured in a combination of refill American oak hogsheads and new charred American oak casks, it delivers remarkable depth and complexity. On the nose, rich aromas of dark chocolate, dried fruits, leather, and spiced oak emerge. The palate is full-bodied and intense, with notes of treacle, espresso, clove, black pepper, and subtle sweetness, leading to a long, warming, and dry finish.
