I create my works in an abstract style, exploring line, brushstroke and blot. From a luminous and vital chromatic scheme. The brushstrokes marked by free and spontaneous gesture enhance an organic movement. Always paying attention to the composition and balance of the work, as if it were a musical composition, with its rhythm, its timbre, its pauses and its nuances. And thus to be able to listen to it with the gaze and feel it from emotion.

Om konstnären:
SUSU, Susana Soto är skapare av visuell och plastisk konst. Född i Barcelona 1972. Civilekonom i Konst vid Universitetet i Barcelona 1994. Deltog i Vitra’s sommarverkstad i Boisbuche, Frankrike, i samarbete med Vitra Design Museum och Centre Georges Pompidou.
Har arbetat över 15 år som grafisk formgivare, art director och som lärare på konsthögskolor. Det var först 2015 som hon gav sig in på illustratörskapets väg. Sedan dess arbetar hon som illustratör för förlag och reklamsektorn.
År 2022 inledde hon sin konstnärliga resa i Barcelona, i en delad studio med andra konstnärer. Hon arbetar med abstrakt måleri och kvinnlig porträtt.
Under sin karriär har hon mottagit flera priser och utmärkelser, både inom grafisk design och illustration. Och hon har deltagit i kollektiva konstutställningar i Barcelona.
