Rare release from the legendary Velier Full Proof Demerara series, dedicated to the historic Uitvlugt Distillery, one of Guyana’s most celebrated rum producers.
This rum was distilled in 1996 at Demerara Distillers Ltd and carries the rare Modified GS mark, produced on the legendary Savalle Still originally associated with Uitvlugt Distillery.
According to the rear label, this bottling is a “Light rum with 15% cut”, an experimental style that makes this release particularly distinctive within the Velier Demerara collection.
The rum matured entirely in the tropical climate of Guyana for 18 years, reaching an impressive Angel’s Share exceeding 78%, reflecting the intensity of long tropical ageing.
