Artist Information
Koji Kasatani (born 1964) is a Japanese artist.
After graduating from art school in Florence, Italy,
I studied Italian ceramic techniques.
After returning to Japan, I began challenging myself to create works that went beyond the boundaries of ceramics.
When I found some banana scraps, my father's favorite, in the kitchen, I was convinced that this was art, and since then I have been creating banana-themed works for about 18 years.
