About the artist:

maal_ was born in 1971 and lives in the beautiful city of Cologne. He's one of those artists who's hiding behind the wall of life.

Fascinated by street art and inspired by Banksy, van Ray, Ben Eine, and Martin Whatson, he goes through life with open eyes to discover special motifs. It is often the simple that hides the ingenuity.

For maal_, street art means making something new out of what already exists, making something valuable out of what is supposedly worthless, and addressing socially critical issues out of simple illustrations.
