Vintage fine-tooth comb with decorated silver mount – Original fitted case

Portugal assay mark (1938-1984), 833/000, and same date marker's mark.

An elegant vintage comb featuring a beautifully worked silver mount, presented in its original fitted case.

The comb has fine teeth of graduated spacing and is embellished along the upper edge with a silver section decorated in relief with a continuous stylised foliate and scroll motif. The contrast between the ivory-coloured comb and the finely detailed silver decoration gives the piece a particularly refined appearance.

It is accompanied by its original presentation case, finished in pink with a delicate textured pattern and lined with dark green fabric and a light satin interior. The fitted case complements the comb beautifully and adds to its collectable character.

The decorative metal section is silver; the remainder of the comb is made from a different material. Please refer to the photographs of any hallmarks for further information regarding the silver standard and origin.

Condition: Good vintage condition, with normal signs of age and use. The silver shows some natural patina and minor surface wear consistent with age.
