Milton Bradley (MB) Microvision Handheld Console with Block Buster Cartridge and Original Protective Pouch – USA – 1979

A landmark piece of video game history, the Milton Bradley Microvision was released in 1979 and is widely regarded as the world's first handheld video game console with interchangeable cartridges. Designed by Smith Engineering, it remains one of the most important early portable gaming systems.

This lot includes:
Milton Bradley Microvision console
Original Block Buster game cartridge
Original Microvision protective pouch/cover

Good vintage condition with normal age-related wear. The housing and buttons are intact and clean, and the control wheel rotates smoothly. The original protective pouch shows wear consistent with age and use.

The console has been tested and powers on correctly. The game loads and the controls respond during play. Important NOTE: No sound or beep is produced by the internal speaker during operation.

The LCD screen shows some age-related staining/discoloration, visible in the photographs. This is common for surviving examples of this early LCD-based system.

The original manufacturer label/sticker is missing, as can be seen in the photographs.

Power Supply
Requires 2 × 9V (6F22) batteries. Batteries are not included.

A nice and increasingly collectible example of one of the earliest handheld gaming systems ever produced.

Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description and condition of the lot. Sold as a vintage collectible item.

NOTE: For collectors who prefer a flawless appearance, any imperfections can be assessed and, if desired, professionally restored by a specialist experienced in working with this type of material or item.

Shipping: The item will be carefully packed and shipped with tracking. Insurance is included in the shipping fee. Any customs duties, taxes or import fees are the buyer's responsibility.

Disclaimer: All items offered are privately owned. While we are not professional appraisers, restorers, or conservators, we make every effort to describe each item honestly, accurately, and as comprehensively as possible. Any visible signs of wear, imperfections, or damage observed during our inspection are disclosed to the best of our knowledge and shown in the accompanying photographs.
