"Papillon", som är det franska ordet för fjäril, filmades i min studio och fjärilarna, som importerats från Thailand för behovet av inspelningen, placerades ett i taget på modellens kropp, en mycket ömtålig process eftersom de är extremt sköra.

Arkiv, pigmentbaserad Giclee Limited Edition på HAHNEMÜHLE GERMAN ETCHING, som har en tung, sammetspiprig yta med otrolig kontrast och detalj, och ger bilden en mycket målerisk look. Utskriven med Epson UltraChrome Pro12-blekmedel.
Fade-resistens: 100+ år.

OM KONSTNÄREN

Elena Paraskevas verk finns i institutionella och företagskollektioner, inklusive Public Art Department of Sweden (Västra Götalands läns regering), Boston Hospital, USA (större installation på 500 cm vid ingången till Barncanceravdelningen), Australian National University, Thalassa Museum, Affinity (Serif) och andra institutionella och företagskollektioner.

Hennes verk har visats i EUROPEAN PARLIAMENTET i Bryssel, samt vid stora biennaler (såsom Florence Biennale) och gallerier i NYC, Paris, Tokyo, London, Dubai, Sao Paolo ( Brasilien), Wien, Barcelona, München, Kuala Lumpur, Frankfurt, Málaga, Linz, Graz, Siena med flera.

År 2026 valdes hennes verk ut att premieras/visas av två fotografi-legend, Christopher Morris (den berömda fotografen som tillbringade 30 år med TIME Magazine, inklusive nio år som bevakade Vita huset) och Magnum-fotografen Alec Soth, allmänt ansedd som en av de mest inflytelserika levande fotograferna.

Hon har utsetts till International Photographer of the Year (2024 / 2023 / 2021 / 2018) av fyra olika internationella fotografisällskap.

Hon har fått internationell erkännande och stora utmärkelser från Hasselblad Masters, World Masters of Photography, LensCulture, Aesthetica, Prix de la Photographie Paris, International Photography Awards (IPA), Neutral Density Awards och många fler.

Sedan 2021 har hon varit jurymedlem för FLORIDA MUSEUM OF PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTS – bedömningar tillsammans med kuratorer från Fotografiska Museum och Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography – samt som jurymedlem i flera internationella fototävlingar varje år. Hon är även tidigare Adobe-instruktör och ambasadör.

Hennes fotografier har publicerats i Smithsonian Magazine, The Guardian (UK & Australien), The Times, Vogue.it, Aesthetica, LensCulture, PDN, Photography Masterclass och många andra internationella publikationer.
