Unga damer i baddräkter
Nobuyoshi Araki & Övriga
Självpublicerad/1971/185*258*5
"Unga damer i badkläder" är en samling fotografier av 'Copy Group Geribara 5', bestående av Nobuyoshi Araki och fem andra medlemmar. Enligt Arakis officiella webbplats säger att "In 1970, he formed the ‘Geribara Three Musketeers’ (triple meaning of ‘guerrilla,’ ‘gebara,’ and ‘diarrhea’) with Yaebata Kojiro, Ikeda Fukuo, and others, and added Takase Yoshio and Tamogami Naohisa to form the ”Copy Group Geribara 5. The group produced three books (“Toilet” by Yoshio Takase and “Five Girls” by Naohisa Tamagami), including this book, as a part of the Copy Group Geribara 5. Copying means taking a picture of the subject as he or she exists as an expressionist, suggesting the relationship between photographer and subject that is characteristic of Araki. Published at the same time as Araki's masterpiece “Sentimental Journey,” this book is the second in the Gelibara 5 series. It is a series of about 300 snapshots of women in bathing suits, with three women lined up on each page. Their names, addresses, and telephone numbers accompany the photographs, another feature of this book, which shows the unconventional attitude of Araki and his team. Limited edition of 1,000 copies."
