Beskrivning från säljaren
The Mayson D5 /SCE1 is a dreadnought acoustic/electro-acoustic guitar featuring a solid Engelmann spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides, delivering expressive tone and modern playability.
Design and Materials
The D5 series from Mayson Guitars is a dreadnought body style, known for its powerful projection and rich tonal range
Key materials include:
Top wood: Solid Engelmann spruce, which provides clarity, responsiveness, and a bright but warm tonal character
Back and sides: Indian rosewood, enhancing depth, sustain, and a complex harmonic profile
Neck: Mahogany, providing stability and smooth playability.
Fingerboard and bridge: Indian rosewood, often paired with mother-of-pearl (MOP) dot inlays on the fingerboard
Electronics: Built-in preamp system for amplification, suitable for live performance
Mayson guitars employ modern manufacturing techniques, including a specialized screwed neck joint that improves durability and playability, similar in concept to Taylor’s T-neck design
Sound and Playability
The combination of Engelmann spruce and Indian rosewood results in a balanced, full-bodied sound with clear articulation and strong projection
The guitar offers:
Rich acoustic tone suitable for fingerstyle and strumming.
Excellent resonance and sustain due to solid tonewoods.
Recessed tuning machines that provide smooth and precise tuning
A modern ergonomic design that ensures comfortable playability for both beginners and experienced players
Price and Value
The D5 series is positioned as a high-quality yet reasonably priced instrument in its class, offering craftsmanship and tone comparable to higher-end professional guitars while maintaining affordability
The D5/SCE1-S, is noted for its impressive price-to-quality ratio.
Additional Features
Professional setup is often available through the European Service Center to ensure optimal playability from day one
In summary, the Mayson D5/SCE1 guitars are versatile dreadnoughts designed for players who appreciate solid wood construction, detailed tonal response, and modern playability with or without electronic amplification, making them suitable for home practice, recording, and stage performance
