Beskrivning från säljaren
Rare Chinese Wu Shuang Pu Teapot | Famille Rose Porcelain | Filigree Metal Handle | 9.3 cm
An exceptionally rare Chinese porcelain teapo, finely painted in famille rose enamels and featuring the famous “Wu Shuang Pu” (Table of Peerless Heroes) design.
The body is richly decorated with two historical figures — a bearded scholar and an elegant lady — accompanied by calligraphic inscriptions and red seals. Each line of text is beautifully preserved; in most examples, the poetic inscriptions have partially faded, but here the painting remains crisp and vibrant.
The teapot retains its original filigree metal handle with gilded fittings — a rare survival — adding elegance and contrast to the white-glazed body.
Condition:
• Very good antique condition.
• One fine hairline visible on the upper body.
• Restored chip on the inner rim (beneath the lid).
• Small chip on the lid itself.
• The spout and painting are in excellent condition, with bright colors and gilt highlights intact.
Dimensions:
• Height (without handle): 9.3 cm
• Height (with handle): 14.5 cm
• Width (spout to back): 12.5 cm
A beautiful and rare survivor from the late Qing Dynasty, perfect for collectors of Chinese porcelain or lovers of classical famille rose art.
Provenance:
Private European collection.
Shipping:
Carefully packaged and shipped worldwide with insurance and tracking.
