A small pill box, “Chinese export silver” so to speak. If you google this, you will find that this is highly collectible and rare as there are many collectors for it. Estimated period 1880-1900. This beautiful little pill box is one of them. The box has a beautiful shape and is decorated with pierced famous peonies. Chinese Silver mostly is high quality silver of 900/1000. An incredible achievement by the silversmith, a true handmade masterpiece. Hallmarked with Chinese letters. The weight of the box is 18 grams and the dimensions are 42 × 30 × 18 mm. Very nice as a “special gift”. An item of Chinese Export Silver is never just a piece of silver; it is a rich cultural narrative!
