Vom Verkäufer bereitgestellte Beschreibung
African Ceramic Vessel with Double Spout – Handcrafted – 20th Century
Rare African ceramic vessel with two raised spouts, hand-formed from clay.
The rounded body is richly decorated with relief dot and line patterns, arranged in rhythmic rows and circular motifs.
The surface shows a natural, earthy patina in grey and brown tones, typical of traditional utilitarian or ritual pottery.
Both spouts are hollow and evenly shaped, indicating functional use, possibly for pouring, storage, or ceremonial purposes.
The base is closed and slightly rounded, showing clear traces of manual craftsmanship. There are no signs of industrial production.
Stylistically attributable to the West or Central African cultural sphere; a precise ethnic attribution is not firmly established.
Estimated date of production: 20th century.
Condition is good and consistent with age: surface wear, deposits, and signs of use are present, but no visible cracks, breaks, or restorations.
The vessel is structurally stable and unrestored.
An authentic and characterful object for collectors of African pottery, ethnographic artifacts, and archaic vessel forms.
