Large hand-crafted ethnographic woven object from East Africa, most likely Ethiopia.

The piece features a finely executed spiral coiling technique with geometrically segmented patterns in red, ochre and green tones.

Characteristic elements include the original leather straps and decorative cowrie shells, traditionally used as symbols of status and cultural identity.

Comparable works are known from the cultural context of the Oromo and Amhara communities.
