The figures are rendered in a highly abstracted manner with elongated bodies and simplified facial features, characteristic of traditional West African architectural carving. The relief likely served both a decorative and protective function, commonly associated with doors or wall elements of houses or granaries.

The reverse side is plain and heavily worn, showing clear traces of long-term use.
The panel was originally part of a larger architectural structure and is now preserved as an independent fragment.
